What the houses here are like
Almaden is mostly 1970s construction, median year 1976, and nearly nine in ten homes here are owner-occupied. Windows from that decade are at the end of their service life now. The usual job in this neighbourhood is a whole house at once: large fixed panes in the living room, sliders in the bedrooms, and a patio door that no longer rolls.

What people here call us about
Almaden calls tend to be whole-house calls. Nearly nine homes in ten here are owner-occupied, people stay, and when they decide to do the windows they do all of them. The two rooms that start it are the living room, where the big fixed pane has fogged, and a back bedroom with a slider that has not moved easily in years.
